Christmastime is finally here.

For some people, it’s a time of hope and joy to look forward to every year.

For others, the holiday may bring feelings of loneliness and sorrow.

The true story of Christmas may not seem joyful at first glance but it’s actually the greatest source of joy for the world. Jesus, the Son of God, was born in a stable and spent the first few years of his life as a refugee. Why would the God who created the universe choose this humble beginning? He did this because He loves you.

God showed this love by sending His Son, Jesus, to live a perfect life and to die on a cross in our place - a necessary sacrifice in order to reestablish the connection between us and God that was broken by the wrong we’ve done.

Jesus was raised from the dead after three days, defeating death and offering eternal life to any who believe that He is the Son of God.

The truth is this: Jesus’ birth, life, death, and resurrection are hope for those who have none, life for those who feel lifeless inside, and joy for those who think they may never feel happy again.
