The Goodness of God
Sometimes the simplest moments tell us the most about the goodness of God.
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
Find Delight in God
Sometimes, being together is deeply enjoyable and satisfying in a relationship. It doesn’t matter what you do or where you are. The simplest of things can be part of those moments of togetherness that bring the most joy. Everything you do together feels good. Everything good can bring enjoyment. Everything enjoyable can bring goodness.
That is exactly what God wants for you. God wants you to enjoy him. He wants you to know that you truly possess His full attention. With Him, you can be your true self and not have to be someone else—you can be relaxed, accepted, and heard. You can find delight in God when you realize He chooses to see everything good in you and provides you with all good things. It is the benefit of being in a relationship with Him.
Consider This:
Do you think it’s possible that enjoying good things with God can lead to great enjoyment of great things with God?
God is the only one who can meet all your expectations in a relationship.
Take Action:
Write down three ways you want to enjoy God. Put them on the proverbial refrigerator door so you can see them every day and put them into practice.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for loving me, please guide my life and fill me with the desire to be close to You and be alone with You, reading Your Word and in prayer.
